The Elderberry Way To Perfect Skin

Back to nature, this is what I call for the elderberry treatment. Since we can get skin care treatment from elderberry.

In an article's of Science Daily has reported that in the first study of its kind, a team of researchers led by Prof Aedin Cassidy at the University of East Anglia and Dr Paul Kroon at the Institute of Food Research, will explore whether the skin's condition is improved by a compound which gives berries their vibrant colour (called 'anthocyanin').

In a 12-week trial starting in September, post-menopausal women will consume either extracts from elderberries or placebo capsules, and will have their skin's structure and appearance measured with state-of-the-art equipment used by experts in skin science. At the same time, researchers will also test whether the elderberry extract can reduce risk factors for heart disease.

Forget expensive moisturisers and cosmetic surgery, a compound found in the humble elderberry could give a natural boost to skin.

"We already know that a healthy diet can help protect against heart disease and skin damage, and that a mixture of similar food components have been shown to improve the skin's structure. There is also evidence that the active components have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be important in helping people stay healthy," said UEA's Dr Peter Curtis who is leading the project.

It's not cheap for tattoo removal

In Islamic religion, tattoo is forbidden to have, although there are few Moslem's still unconvinced about it. For some people, having a tattoo is related to proud and certain symbol. But after getting a tattoo, for some reason they want the tattoo to get removed from the skin.

There are a problem because a tattoo removal is not as easy as it get. But with the new technology, tattoo removal is near to get. Recently Jeffrey Orringer, M.D., a dermatologist of University of Michigan Health System has experience on how to remove tattoo.

As reported in Science Daily, Orringer, sees many patients who want their tattoos to disappear. Indeed, he says, nearly 20 percent of people with tattoos are thinking of having them removed – and other estimates are even higher. “The most common reason,” he says, “would be to remove a name of someone who is no longer involved in the patient’s life.”

Orringer treats patients with laser technology that allows for a fairly precise removal of the ink without damage to the surrounding skin and, in most cases, without a scar. The technology is far superior to the techniques of the past, which typically resulted in scarring.

With laser light and shine on the skin, tattoo can be chew up it's altered ink and lighten the color from the skin.

He said that some tattoos are easier to remove than others. Those that are older, simpler, contain fewer colors are easier to remove, while those located on arms and legs tend to be tougher.

In Science Daily also reported that there are things to know if we want the tattoo removal.

  1. Laser technology can reduce the appearance of tattoos so they are no longer visible. Unlike past treatments, present-day lasers rarely cause scarring or damage to the surrounding skin.
  2. It will take more time to remove a tattoo than it took to have it applied. Often, six to 12 sessions are required to erase all of the ink.
  3. Areas of the body where it is more difficult to remove a tattoo include ankles, hands and fingers.
  4. Older, simpler tattoos that contain few colors are easier to remove.
  5. Treatment options include lasers, one of the most common of which is the Q-switched, or quality-switched, laser; surgical excision; and dermabrasion, the “sanding” of the skin.
  6. Risks of laser removal of tattoos are similar to those associated with small wounds. The treatment itself can be uncomfortable or even painful as it creates small breaks in the skin. Some crusting or bleeding may occur in the area after treatment. Small risks of scarring, infection and discoloration of the skin also exist.
  7. And if you don’t have a tattoo yet – buyer beware. By some estimates, one-fifth of people with tattoos are thinking of having them removed.

The cost of tattoo removal can be greater than the price of having the tattoo applied, and can add up to a few thousand dollars for the most complex tattoos. Simpler tattoos cost less than that. But, how many it will be cost for tattoo, it will be better if we think twice or more if we want to have tattoo in our skin.
