Skincare For Those Other Special Nights: Getting The Best Evening Skin Care and Beauty Well After High School

Who says that teenagers have all the fun? Even if your prom night has faded far into the past, you can still get all dolled up for a fun evening out. Here's how!

You may be watching your daughter get gussied up for prom and those longing feelings for a little nightlife come into your mind. Don't worry, no matter what your age it's easy to find an excuse to get gorgeous and get out of the house. How can you change your typical daytime look into an evening stunner? Read on for some tips and tricks toward reaching that exact goal.

The first step toward nighttime beauty is to realize and accept the fact you are more than likely a very busy person. Most people have to go straight from work to that special dinner party if it happens to fall on a Friday night. However, that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice looking your best.

Start out by touching up your foundation. Bringing your foundation in your purse with you to the office is always a good idea, both for midday fixes as well as evenings out. Blend with your fingers or a travel sized makeup sponge, and then follow with a compact version of your favorite translucent powder.

For your evening look, layer the powder with a bronzer or some sort of blushing shimmer that will give you a radiant evening glow. When it comes to the eyes, you can try colors that are a little more dark and dramatic than what you are used to. Smokey eyes are very popular with women right now, so try combining those brighter and deeper lid colors to get that effect.

Are you a brown girl? Spice up your makeup with some gold. Used to sticking with black? Venture out and try some silver. You will find that these shimmery, bolder colors will cause your eyes to "pop" and give you a fun and flirty look after the sun goes down.

When it comes to lips, take the teens' lead and grab a quality lip gloss. Kissably soft and supple lips are attractive and romantic looking, a perfect way to rekindle the romance with your husband while the kids are at the dance.

Prom isn't just a season for the young, but also the young at heart. Use the excitement of Spring as an excuse to get beautiful and get out!
