Malaysia is considering a ban on fast-food advertisements, a news report has said.
Health Minister Chua Soi Lek said that his ministry will also consider placing a "sin tax" on fast-food chains, and a levy reserved for cigarettes and liquor in the mainly-Muslim nation, the Star daily said. "We do not allow advertising for cigarettes and liquor. Fast food should be treated in the same way as alcohol. The time has come," Chua was quoted as saying. Read more of this news..
