KINGSPORT, The Eastman Chemical Company that introduced NutriLayer to a global audience at In-Cosmetics 2006, now introduce the more innovative industry applications for the cosmetics and personal care market. Eastman Chemical Company will be exhibiting at In-Cosmetics 2007 in Paris, April 17-19, (booth #F103) and delivering its latest technological advances in cosmetics and personal care in the areas of anti-aging and hair care.
The growing popularity of anti-aging treatments that diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is an undeniable beauty trend. Dramatic results from a 12-week efficacy study on NutriLayer's effect on diminishing wrinkle appearance will be available at the Eastman booth. Studies were performed using both 1 percent and 5 percent NutriLayer concentrations with both formulations yielding a significant decrease in wrinkle appearance.
Eastman AQ polymers have been used widely in commercial hairspray for several years and more recently in hair gel applications. Eastman demonstrated during a beauty salon event in the New York area in December how the use of its family of AQ polymers in curl retention hair gel applications could defy gravity. Now, Eastman is expanding the use of its AQ polymers into sprayable and non-sprayable hair wax formulations, which it will introduce at this year's In-Cosmetics show.
Eastman AQ polymers are water-dispersible, film-forming polyesters that offer outstanding water resistance, and are, therefore, ideally suited for use in hair styling products. They offer low tack, fast drying times, high gloss and excellent curl retention in even high humidity conditions. In hair waxes the AQ polymers offer excellent polymeric emulsification properties as well as film formation.
